One survivor said and that the attackers begun from the Westage shopping centre ground floor and made their way to the peak. He said they had grenades and AK-47 guns and he glimpsed at least five of them. localized TV positions described that the gunmen took hostages as fighters and local policemen enclosed the shopping centre. Another survivor said he was shot at by a man who looked like a Somali.
The Somali militant assembly al Shabaab had previously endangered to strike inns, nightclubs and the Westgate shopping centre, which is one of the large-scale shopping centres in the town, popular with the city's expatriate and foreigners...but there's no authorized confirmation for now that the group is behind this strike.
Security guards were seen wheeling out bloodstained bodies in buying trolleys as fighters continue to comb the mall looking for the gunmen. Kenyan Red traverse said at least 20 have been killed and more casualties were still inside the complex
