Chelsea sack José Mourinho!!, Lines Up Guus Hiddink to Take over

José Mourinho has once again been
sacked by Chelsea. Before this season
the Portuguese had only lost one out of
98 Premier League matches but poor
form this campaign made him the eighth
manager sacked by Roman Abramovich

The Chelsea owner has now dismissed
eight managers since his takeover in
2003 but he had held off for as long as
possible on Mourinho, and not only
because he had given him a new four-
year contract worth £250,000 a week, or
£13m a year, in August.

title triumph but so bad has this season
been that he knew he needed to act.
Chelsea’s 2-1 loss at Leicester City on
Monday night was a ninth defeat in 16
league matches and it left them just one
point above the relegation zone.
Abramovich was equally concerned by
Mourinho’s post-match comments , in
which he said that his work had been
“ betrayed” by the players at the King
Power Stadium. Mourinho said that they
had failed to carry out his orders and it
was tantamount to him saying that they
had stopped listening to him.
Mourinho will now attempt to reach a
settlement on his massive contract and
attention has turned towards who will
succeed him and be charged with the
clean-up operation. Hiddink, who
worked as the caretaker manager at the
club in 2009 after the sacking of Luis
Felipe Scolari, is now set to return to
Stamford Bridge. Hiddink led the club to
the FA Cup, but has not enjoyed much
success since in stints with Russia, Anzhi
Makhachkala and Holland, who failed to
qualify for Euro 2016.
Chelsea, whose next match is at home to
Sunderland on Saturday, released a
statement a little after 3pm, saying that
they wished “to make clear José leaves
us on good terms”.

Football Club and José Mourinho have
today parted company by mutual
consent. All at Chelsea thank José for his
immense contribution since he returned
as manager in the summer of 2013.
“His three league titles, FA Cup,
Community Shield and three League
Cup wins over two spells make him the
most successful manager in our 110-
year history. But both José and the
board agreed results have not been good
enough this season and believe it is in
the best interests of both parties to go
our separate ways.
“The club wishes to make clear José
leaves us on good terms and will always
remain a much-loved, respected and
significant figure at Chelsea. His legacy
at Stamford Bridge and in England has
long been guaranteed and he will
always be warmly welcomed back to
Stamford Bridge.
“The club’s focus is now on ensuring
our talented squad reaches its
potential.”
This is the end of Mourinho’s second
stint in charge of the club – his first
spell in charge of Chelsea ended in
September of 2007, after he won the
Premier League title in 2005 and 2006.

team was in Agbaakin Compound in
Jobele area of Afijio local government
in Oyo state. The mission of the team
was to interview one Mr Paul Onah who
boasts of the nation’s first complete
and locally-built helicopter.
In a one on one chat with Naij.com’s
Oladele Hakeem, the professional
Welder turned-inventor explains how
the journey started and what he
foresees upon the addition of some
other components which will make the
helicopter eventually fly in the air.
He went into the interior of his
invention and started its engine. The
helicopter started with its blades and
propellers rotating.

Below are excerpts from the interview:


Could you please tell us about yourself
in details?

My name is Paul Onah. I am 35 years old. I am married
with 2 children. I am from Benue state. I am a Welder by
profession as well as a Panel Beater. I came from Benue
state several years ago before I came to settle to here in
Jobele.

You are here standing beside your
locally-built helicopter. Tell us how it
all began with the helicopter

Thank you very much. The idea to build my helicopter actually
started 5 years ago when God first inspired me to invent an
airplane. I initially did not understand this because I never
understood it was God who was speaking to me in my dream.
I only heard a voice and was a bit confused.
However, in 2012, my late father who died several years ago
appeared to me in my dream and told me to build a
helicopter. After waking up in the morning of that day, I
asked myself, how will I build an airplane when I have never
come in contact or touched an aeroplane before in my life?
As you are seeing me, I have never been to an airport
before. Likewise, I had no money then that would enable
embark on the project. It was not until I told my lovely wife
that I was finally convinced and encouraged that this project
will come to see the light of the day.

constructed this helicopter standing

Okay. As I said earlier on, after telling my wife and she
supported the idea, I first began work on prototypes which
included jet and small helicopter all designed using woods. This
was possible because I bought children’s toy airplanes and
watched videos of how aeroplanes and helicopters are built.
This was really what further boosted my courage and
resilience that I will build a helicopter one day.
The reason for using initially woods for my airplane was to
know the design of what I wanted for my work. However, I
began building this helicopter you are looking at in January
this year. But I cannot really remember the actual date now.

So, how much went into this project
and which materials did you use?

Since the time I started building this helicopter, all the money
I made from my welding job and from the sale of my Volvo
car totally 300 Hundred Thousand Naira all went into this
project. Even when I told my brothers to assist me, none of
them helped me. They said it was a white-elephant project.
However, I was not discouraged as my wife, Margaret and
my first child Mary all prayed for me that I will succeed.
Since I used to have 2 vehicles, these were Datsun and
Volvo. I sold the Volvo to buy materials like iron plate, blade
propellers, tyres and other materials from Oyo. I converted
the Datsun car by reconstructing it.
As I got all the materials on ground, I began work and here
is what you have.

Do you think this helicopter will
eventually fly?

Yes! By the grace of God. It will still fly if I finally get the
remaining needed materials.

stripped naked in Orlu, Imo state over
the weekend.

According to report, it was a scene to behold when an
unidentified pastor in Orlu who is the founder of Holiness of
Heaven Ministries, was paraded naked, alongside his accomplice,
an alleged traditional priest.

The pastor who’s said to be ‘very powerful’ with numerous
miracles attached to his name, met his waterloo after marrying a
new wife.
The new wife was said to have allegedly cried out after noticing
that her new husband has some sort of association with a very
dangerous native doctor within the community. This led to the
village youths raiding the pastor’s church and house. Lots of
fetish items were discovered.
This consequently led to the burning down of the church and the
shrine of the juju priest before the alleged ritualists were
paraded around town naked.

Just recently, a man of God in Kenya, Pastor Paul
Sanyangore, caused a stir. The pastor got several tongues
wagging and eyes popping when he decided to bless his church
members with condoms, which he called ‘holy condoms’ during a
church service.

Rivers Police Rescues Kidnapped, Kills 4 Kidnappers in the Process

The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of two
notorious armed robbers who confessed to have been involved in
series of armed robberies and kidnappings in Port Harcourt and
environs. According to the press statement released on Sunday,
December 13, by Rivers Police Public Relations Officer Ahmad
Muhammad, the arrested suspects confessed to have been involved in
the recent murder of CSP Cliff Igwebe, a divisional police officer.

"The Rivers State Police Command announces the arrest of two
notorious armed robbers who confessed to have been involved in
series of armed robberies and kidnappings in Port Harcourt and
environs including the recent gruesome murder of late CSP. Cliff
Igwegbe, who until his death fortnight ago was the divisional police
officer of Rumuokoro Division.
2. The suspects arrested are Prince Essien ‘m; 30 years and
Hosanna Nse ‘m’ 23 years while Clever Idaminabor ‘m’ 27 years
who is believed to be leader of the gang was fatally wounded in the
shootout that ensued when policemen raided their hideout at Location
road, Ada George, Port Harcourt. Items recovered from the
suspects includes two AK 47 rifles, one assault rifle, 119 rounds
of live ammunition and seven magazines.
3. It would be recalled late CSP. Cliff Igwegbe was murdered
while two other policemen sustained minor injuries when his killers
ambushed and opened fire them when they responded to a distress
call.
4. Similarly, following a distress call received on 12/12/2015 at
about 4:00 am from a patriotic Nigerian that kidnappers broke into
his house of one Ken Livinus at Rukpokwu and whisked him away in
his Toyota Lexus jeep, teams of policemen quickly responded and
pursued the fleeing kidnappers who were heading towards Aluu/
Airport road and engaged them. The confrontation led to the safe
rescue of the victim while four unidentified kidnappers were fatally
wounded. The victim’s vehicle, a Golf Volkswagen car belonging to
the kidnappers, three locally made pistols and twelve cartridges were
recovered after the rescue operation.
5. The Command appeals to the good people of Rivers State to
remain hopeful, confident and trusting in the ability of the Command
as we are poised to consolidate the gains of the current onslaught
on criminals and their nefarious activities, please.

iii)       Candidates MUST meet the minimum UTME scores for their chosen course, have the right UTME subject combinations as prescribed in the JAMB Brochure and the requisite ‘O’ Level subjects at credit level.
iv)       However, candidates who do not meet any of the above requirements will be allowed to change to any other course whose requirements are met by the candidates.  The Change of Course will attract a processing fee of N1,000 payable at the screening venue.
v)        All candidates must possess a minimum of five ‘O’ Level credits including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses.
vi)       Only ‘O’ Level result print-outs downloaded directly from the website of the national examining bodies (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or photocopies of the original certificate(s) will be accepted for verification.  Candidates that already have their ‘O’ Levels MUST bring the result to the screening venue.  Failure to do so will result in disqualification of candidates.
vii)      Candidates awaiting result will be allowed to participate in the UPASE but MUST submit such results not later than Wednesday 15^th October, 2014.  For submission of such results, candidates are to go back to their registration page on the University website to update their records.

3.      Requirements for the Screening Exercise

All eligible candidates are required to come on the date indicated on their scheduling slip.

Candidates are to report at the Suleiman Kumo Convocation Square at the University Main Campus, Gidan-Kwano along Minna-Bida road with the following:

A printout of the 2014/2015 UTME result slip bearing the candidate’s passport photograph, they should not be affixed.  The title of the course/programme of choice should be boldly written by the candidate on top of the result slip.The printed 2014/2015 University Pre-Admission Screening Exercise (UPASE) scheduling slip.A writing material (biro or pencil)A simple scientific calculator (non-programmable) without cover.

4.         General Information

No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements.The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20km away from the Bosso Campus of the University, which is inside Minna town.

Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N50 to N70 at the Bosso Campus of the University.

Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall.  Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners.Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents.Any registered candidate who fails to report to the screening exercise on the date and time specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being screened for admission.Candidates are advised to arrive at the Suleiman Kumo Convocation Square at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled date for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time on their slips.

The reason is purely and solely because JAMB has not shortlisted such candidates in the list sent to FUTO. Novak Djokovic Beats Roger Federer To Win Third Wimbledon Title [PHOTOS]

Novak Djokovic ended Roger Federer's dream of winning a record-breaking eighth Wimbledon title with a four-set win in Sunday's men's singles final.

A packed Centre Court witnessed the world's top two players battle for glory for nearly three hours in a match that lived up to its billing.

Federer was aiming to add to his incredible haul of seven Wimbledon titles but couldn't match defending champion Djokovic's resilience with the Serb eventually winning 7-6 (7-1) 6-7 (10-12) 6-4 6-3.

With the crowds at the All England Club clearly supporting 17-time Grand Slam champion Federer, the pressure was on Djokovic to win them over with his game.

The 28-year-old proved his mettle with an excellent service game and has now become the first man since 2007 to retain the Wimbledon men's title and in the process took his Grand Slam tally to nine.

It was a cathartic moment for Djokovic just a month after his heartbreaking French Open final defeat against Stan Wawrinka - a loss that denied him the only major title he has yet to win.

For 33-year-old Federer, it was a bitterly disappointing end to his bid to become the oldest Wimbledon champion of the Open Era.

The 17-time major winner has now gone three years since his last Grand Slam triumph. But he had his chances.

DIEGO MARADONA TO CONTEST FOR PRESIDENT OF FIFA

Diego Maradona announced  that  he will be contesting for the FIFA presidency. His run was announced on Monday by a presenter Uruguayan national television.

"'I am candidate' are the words that Diego Maradona used when I asked him about the candidacy for the FIFA presidency,"journalist Victor Hugo Morales said on Twitter.

Maradona was a strong critic of FIFA under current President Sepp Blatter, who announced last month that he would step down.

World football's governing body has been rocked by two multinational corruption investigations launched by US and Swiss authorities. Former Brazilian star Zico and Liberian football Federation President Musa Bility have already declared themselves candidates.

Maradona served as a manager and coach at other clubs as well as for the national team of Argentina. Many experts, football critics, former players, current players and football fans regard Maradona as the greatest football player of all time.

CONVICTED BOSTON MARATHON BOMBER APOLOGISES TO BOMB VICTIMS AND FAMILIES

Appearing in a Boston courtroom moments ago, convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev issued an apology to the victims, the survivors and their families of the 2013 attack, as well as took responsibility.

3 people died in the attack, with an additional 264 others wounded, and Tsarnaev was issued the death penalty on May 15.

"NIGERIAN TREASURY IS EMPTY" Buhari Reveals

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday made a shocking revelation while meeting with members of the State House Press Corps in Aso Villa: Nigeria’s national treasury is virtually empty.

Here are excerpts from his remarks, as reported by Vanguard:

“It is not by accident that I got the best of you to be the special adviser, one of the 15 aides I had to get clearance from the Senate. He is one of the best Presidents of the Guild of Editors that I can have as special adviser. I brought one of the best of you so that he can consistently defend me against you.

Whether my job is a difficult one or easy is up to him, but I’m here to thank you in advance for what good and ill you are going to do to me. I have to quickly come and see you and welcome you to this place. I hope what happened of recent between the former President and one of you (the withdrawal of the accreditation of the Radio Germany reporter) will not happen between me and you.

I hope we are starting and this culture of 100 days is bringing so much pressure with treasury virtually empty, with debts in millions of dollars, with state workers and even federal workers not paid their salaries. It is such a disgrace for Nigeria. I think Nigeria should be in a position to even pay its workers. This bad management that we find ourselves in, we really need your help to protect us from people before they march on us”, Buhari said.

IMT Post-UTME 2015: Date, Eligibility, Cut-off and Registration Details

The process of registering candidates for 2015/2016 Post UTME Screening Exercise has commenced in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.

1. Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the screening exercise:
(a) Candidates must have picked Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu as their first or second choice;
(b) Candidates who did not choose Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, but wish to be considered for admission
into the Institute, may also apply;
(c) Candidates must have scored 150 and above in the 2015 UTME.

2. Registration procedure:
(a) Registration commences immediately;
(b) Candidates should go to the following Banks to purchase an IMT electronic application PIN for N5,000.00 only:
* Zenith Bank Plc = Trans-Ekulu, Enugu
* Fidelity Bank Plc = Ogui Road, Enugu
* Mainstreet Bank Ltd. = Ogui Road, Enugu
* First Bank of Nig. Plc. = Okpara Avenue, Enugu
* First City Monument Bank plc = Garden Avenue Branch, Enugu
(c) Using the PIN go to www.imt.edu.ng. To fill and submit the application form. Download and print the acknowledgement slip.
(d) All applications must be filled online on or before Monday, 19th August, 2015 as the window for application will close on that day.

3. Requirements for the Screening Exercise:
(a) Accreditation of candidates for the exercise commences at 9.00 a.m. everyday;

(b) Candidates should arrive the venue with:
* The acknowledgement slip as in 2(c) above
* HB Pencil and eraser
* Photocopies of JAMB slip showing their photographs and
